A new three years challenge for the
board of CNA
During the general meeting of the Calypso Networks
Association held on May 17 in Brussels, in
accordance with the statutes, a new board was elected
and Philippe Vappereau (RATP -France) was reelected
unanimously by the members as Chairman for the three coming
years, based on his previous results and the objectives he has presented for the future.
Etienne Graindor
(STIB-Belgium) is reelected as General Secretary.
Other members of the board are Otlis- Portugal ,
Landkreises Konstanz -Germany , ATM -Italy , Veolia-France ,
SNCF- France Transdev - France .
Etienne Graindor was involved from the beginning in the first European project Calypso as representative of the region of Brussels. Then as representative of STIB, he was the chairman of the third European project called Triangle and dedicated to the interoperability of Calypso networks. He told us how he has contributed to the successful development of Calypso in Belgium and why he is convonced that Triangle is the right choice for interoperability.

Calypso
implemented in
front-end of AFC system, frees the back office from an important number
of administrative tasks regarding control and recovery of failed
transaction: thanks to the Calypso secure session, all transactions
performed off-line by the terminals are successfully completed and
optimized and can later on be collected by the central system.
The high security level and the specified rules simplify greatly the
design and development of all back offices and further assure the
interoperability between ticketing systems from different suppliers.
You can learn more about all the Calypso values by downloading the Calypso Handbook.

Triangle defines common rules for managing security keys, a file structure and a data model. Triangle is protected by DESX and Triples DES security keys, managed by CNA, and present in the SAM of the ticketing equipment. The data model allows loading public transport con-tracts of any type and duration. These contracts are secured by a signature: the unique identifier of the contract issuer is written into the contract; it cannot be forged and is secured by a SAM. ( Source: www.spirtech.com ).
